a cire perdue vase of oviform supported on the backs of four frogs with wings extending up the body, apparently unmarked, (polishing to neck, chip to one frog) -- 12.4cm. high

Specialist note

Whilst the vase does not appear in Marcilhac, frogs frequently appear as a motif in the glass designs of Réne Lalique. He also used multiples of a motif as a design feature, offering the dual effect of style and stabilty.
