Tasting note: The ripe apple, mineral, and toast-scented 2000 Montrachet is a concentrated, intense, and deep wine. It reveals an appealing vinous quality, loads of spiced pear flavors, and a backward characteristic. It is, at present, youthfully tight, certainly not to the extent of the Batard, however.
