DOMAINE DE LA POUSSE D'OR
The most famous estate in Volnay, its vineyards where formerly part of the estate of Jacques-Marie Duvault-Blochet. The domaine is the alrgest proprietor of Volnay Caillerets, owning one third of the vineyard, and is the sole owner of the Clos de la Bousse d'Or, which lies at the heart of the hill, in the centre of the village of Volnay.
1964 was the first harvest of director Gerard Potel and in this lengendary vintage, he produced exceptionally long-lived wines. Sadly, on Potel's tragic death in October 1997, the family lost control of the Domaine and had to leave.
