Gerard Sekoto (1913-1993)

Sekoto left South Africa for France in 1947 and settled in and around Paris for the rest of his life. He had his first exhibition in Paris at 14 rue des Beaux Arts (then Galerie Else-Clausen) -- Peintures Sud-Africaines par Gérard Sekoto, 22-30 April, 1949.
