Specialist note
The biblical reference illustrated here is from Genesis XXXVII, 1-11, in which Joseph tells his brothers of his dreams:
'"...Listen to this dream I had. There we were, binding sheaves in the field, when suddenly my sheave rose to an upright position, and your sheaves formed a ring around my sheave and bowed down to it...I had another dream...this time, the sun and the moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me..." His Brothers said to him, "are you indeed to reign over us? Are you indeed to have dominion over us?" So they hated him even more because of his dreams and his words...'
