Laurence Stephen Lowry, R.A. (1887-1976)

Lowry was fascinated by the footbridge at Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, on the North East coast, a few miles north of Newcastle. The footbridge appears in a number of imaginary paintings and drawings from the mid 1960s.
