CIRCA 1900
Of large size, the rosette and anthemion corona supporting eight three-branch sconces and supported by a central foliate and fluted shaft surmounted by a basket and hung throughout with flowering and foliate vines and wheat ears

Specialist note

The flower-festooned chandelier has a Roman-candelabrum pillar, with Grecian palms wreathing its flower basket and tazza, and reflects the antique fashion popularised by C. Percier and P. Fontaine, Recueil de Décorations Intérieurs, Paris, 1801.
