Cal. Valjoux 7750 nickel-finished lever movement, 25 jewels, the black dial with applied baton numerals with luminous accents, luminous hands, outer red and white five minute divisions, three subsidiary dials indicating constant seconds, 30 minutes and 12 hours registers, magnified window for date, in tonneau-shaped water-resistant-type case with black bezel calibrated for 12 hours, screw back and Rolex screw down crown, two screw down chronograph buttons in the band, case, dial and movement signed

Specialist note

The brand Tudor was introduced by Rolex around 1945 with the aim of supplying high quality watches at affordable prices. Although Rolex never advertised their connection to Tudor, they however supplied, amongst other parts, the Oyster cases. The symbol of the brand was the Tudor rose until around 1960 when it was replaced by the shield which is still in use to date. The line of models comprised also Submariner and Cosmograph watches considered as reliable and durable as their "big sisters". With their varied and colourful "exotic" dials, these watches have become extremely popular amongst collectors.
