Specialist note
Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming the manufacture of the movement of the present watch in 1920. It was encased in the present silver case, ref. 738, in 1958 and sold on 7 October 1961.
Patek Philippe movements participating at Observatory Timing Contests were numbered twice.
The rarity of the present display watch is further enhanced by the unusual dial layout with horizontally positioned subsidiary dials instead of the more common vertically version and the excellent condition of both the watch and its wooden showcase.
