Signed Rolex, Oyster Cosmograph, Daytona, Ref. 6265, case no. 6223610, manufactured in 1981
Cal. 727 nickel-finished lever movement, 17 jewels, the silvered brushed dial with applied baton numerals with luminous accents, luminous hands, three subsidiary black engine-turned dials indicating constant seconds, 30 minutes and 12 hours registers, the tonneau-shaped water-resistant-type case with blank bezel calibrated for 200 units per hour, screw back, screw down crown, two screw down chronograph buttons in the band, stainless steel Rolex Oyster bracelet, case, dial and movement signed
37 mm. diam.

Specialist note

The present watch is a rare example of the first generation "Oyster Cosmograph" reference 6265 model, introduced in 1971. It shows a rather unusual signature, featuring the writing "Daytona" in a smaller size and much closer to the 12 hours recorder than the earlier models (see the previous lot). It is furthermore preserved in a very good overall condition.
