THIRD EDITION with brilliant colouring of Hoola van Nooten's dramatic botanical drawings made in Java in the 1860s. The 1885 plates were lithographed by P. Depannemaeker of Ledeberg-Gent, whereas those in the 1863-64 and 1880 editions were printed by G. Severeyns of Brussels; all contained 40 plates. Nissen 931; Sitwell and Blunt p.103; Haks and Maris p.127; Landwehr, Dutch Colour Plates 79.
