With nickel-finished jewelled lever movement, meteorite dial, blue outer date ring with central arrowhead date hand, sector for phases of the moon, the circular case with diamond-set bezel with Corum and Meteorite Peary engraved on both ends, hooded lugs with No. 127 and the world map within blue oval cartouches, back secured by six screws with engraved inscriptions, together with a platinum Corum buckle, case, dial and movement signed

Robert Edwin Peary (1856-1920) was an American explorer generally credited with leading the first party to reach the north pole. The dial of this watch is made of a fragment of one of the meteorites discovered by Peary near Cape York during his Greenland expedition in 1894.
