signed with initials, inscribed and dated 'The lower part of Corra[gon - deleted] Lynn - one of the Falls of the Clyde./JWA. July 6. 1791 -' (on the reverse of the artist's mount) and numbered 'No. 42' (on the reverse of the artist's mount)
pen and grey ink and watercolour, on the artist's wash-line mount
9 x 7 1/8 in. (22.8 x 18.1 cm.)

The artist's great, great grandson.
with The Fine Art Society, London, 1946, from whom purchased by the present owner.
