drypoint, 1933, on Rives BFK, signed in pencil, titled 'Chicago Fair 1933' in the lower right of plate, from the edition of 100, with the Chicago Society of Etchers blindstamp, with margins, the palest light-staining, a small stain along the extreme upper right sheet edge, otherwise in very good condition

Specialist note

Geerlings won the first prize in etching for this print at the Chicago World's Fair in 1933. This was his last print for forty years due to the Depression and his need to support his family as an architectural consultant, graphic designer and writer.
