Specialist note

In the established tradition of Patek Philippe’s production of special edition watches to celebrate the company’s milestone anniversaries, this highly exclusive limited Edition steel ‘Calatrava’ reference 6007A-001 was released in 2020 to celebrate Patek Philippe’s new manufacture building in Plan-les-Ouates, Geneva. Made in an edition of 1000 pieces worldwide, the use of a steel case for a non-sports watch, indeed any Patek Philippe watch, makes this edition particularly exciting. Coupled with the use of luminous hands and numerals, not seen before on any other ‘Calatrava’ watch, the reference 6007A-001 offers a unique aesthetic. The crystal display back bears the inscription 'New Manufacture 2019'.

The design of the blue dial is quite an unexpected departure for Patek Philippe, the centre being decorated with a guilloché ‘carbon fiber’ pattern. Fascinatingly, this distinctive design originated from the dial used for the unique piece titanium Grande Complication reference 5208 made for Only Watch 2017.
