Excellent appearance
Tasting note: Not a very impressive colour, but DRC wines are often misleading and actually gain colour in bottle. The nose of the wine, that had been in a large Burgundy glass for three hours, had opened up and was lovely, whereas freshly poured in a tasting glass it was tighter and harder. So always give DRC wines plenty of air before drinking. On the palate fairly sweet, a full, rich wine with abundant fruit and lenghth. As always, multi-dimensional. Feb 2001 (****) A long haul wine.
