Ce bel et ancien exemplaire, en forme de « serpe », s’inscrit dans la typologie des wahaika. La massue est ornée, dans le prolongement de la garde, d’un personnage féminin en pied, la bouche ouverte et la langue apparente, en référence au geste de défi rituel adopté par les guerriers Maoris.
