zinc with brown and green patina
Height: 15¼ in. (38.7 cm.)
Conceived in 1937-1938; this zinc version cast between 1940 and 1943

Private collection, Hanover (gift from the artist, 1944).
Galerie fur Moderne Kunst, Hanover (acquired from the above).
Acquired from the above by the late owner, 1959.

Ms. Annette Seeler, Berlin, will include this cast in the catalogue raisonné of the sculptures by Käthe Kollwitz which she is currently preparing for the Käthe Kollwitz Museum, Cologne.
