"There was input from Nol Pinguet for the first time at Domaine Huet with the tending of this vintage, for he arrived at the estate in 1971. "Here, the vineyards have always been ploughed. Straight away, I started to eliminate insecticides," he says. This 1970 is a very pretty, bright lemon-gold, the nose showing fragrant Chenin blanc character, and a suspicion of geranium leaf. On the palate, utterly charming, with silky texture, lovely freshness, and classic balance." AH
