Ornate map of North America from Coronelli's magnificent Atlante Veneto. The Venetian discovery of Labrador is celebrated with the inscription 'Scoperta da Antonio Zeno N. Veneto nel 1390' within the Canadian landmass. Although the cartographic detail is quite fine and relates to the other maps in the atlas, the mouth of the Mississippi is placed too far to the west.
