DIAL: black gloss, gilt print, luminous dot and baton numerals, luminous Mercedes hands, sweep centre seconds
CASE: Stainless steel, screw down back engraved 5513 and IV 65 inside, screw down crown, rotating black bezel, 39 mm. diam.
STRAP/BUCKLE: Unsigned Zulu strap, unsigned brushed buckle

Specialist note

While the vast majority of reference 5513 Rolex Submariners feature a matte black dial, early examples were produced with attract gloss black dial and gilt printing, which over time can age in various ways. For another example of a gilt dial reference 5513, see lot 2851.
