Cal.LeCoultre 19/20 CMS fully jewelled lever movement, repeating on two hammers, glazed dust cover, gold cuvette, translucent green enamel dial on engine-turned background, Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds, blued steel back plate, all surmounted by a pink gold automaton scene depicting "Father of time" and two putti striking the bells in unison with the repeating, a cornucopia below the dial, circular engine-turned case, repeating slide in the band, case and cuvette numbered, dial signed, movement signed underneath a hammer

Specialist note

According to the archives of Jaeger-LeCoultre, the present watch is one of two examples delivered to Paul Ditisheim in La Chaux de Fonds on 27 Septembre 1902.

The movement is also stamped 15833 flanked by the symbol of the Swiss cross, referring to Paul Ditisheim's patent no. 15833 obtained on 7 January 1898 for a governor or speed regulator for a repeating mechanism. This invention was then also used by other manufacturers, notably LeCoultre.
