With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvered dial, raised steel indexes and tachymetre scale in 1943 and its subsequent sale on 23 April 1945.
Consigned by a private collector and never been offered in public before, this stainless steel reference 130 is a very appealing example of the celebrated chronograph model, fitted with the rare and much sought-after two-tone dial. The fascinating combination of the silvered matte centre and the mirrored silvered outer chapter ring result in an incredibly charismatic look.
The combination of rarity, freshness to the market, two-tone silvered dial and the stainless steel case render it a true collector's watch.
The production of the simple chronograph with reference 130 was launched in 1934. The model was produced in different precious metal versions as well as in stainless steel. It is interesting to note that the lugs of the stainless steel version are different from the yellow, pink or white gold ones. Their slightly thicker but shorter design gives the watch a rather tonneau-shaped design and a more sportive, robust and masculine look.
