The hinged top enclosing a concealed mirror behind a gilt-tooled purple leather surface, and a series of compartments, with a number of the original leather covers and fittings and key now lacking
5¼ in. (13.5 cm.) high; 12 in. (30.5 cm.) wide; 8½ in. (22 cm.) deep
Together with a Victorian silver-mounted stationary box, by Houghton & Gunn, London, circa 1892, bearing an engraved plaque 'C.W/FROM THREE BROTHERS/XMAS 1892'; and a silver-mounted crocodile-leather writing wallet (3)
