Lot 113 While many think of Elvis Presley as a hip thrusting, early rock-and-roll progenitor, his beginnings were deeply steeped in country music. Having grown up listening to the country music of his parents and performing with legends like Hank Snow, the influence of country on Elvis is undeniable. It is perhaps Elvis Presley's first record release that exemplifies the role he played in the cross over from country to rock. He was an amalgam of epic proportions and it served him well.
