JLC 140 17''' 188/100 nickel-finished lever movement, 19 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, silvered dial, Roman numerals, ultra thin "tranche couteau" or "knife's edge" plain circular case, triangular-shaped bow, snap on back, case hand-stamped with Cartier reference numbers, dial signed Cartier, movement signed European Watch and Clock Co., Inc.

With Cartier original fitted red presentation box.

The present watch was entered into the archives of Cartier Paris in 1928. Its designation "tranche couteau" refers to the ultra thin case, resembling a knife's edge. Consigned by a private collector, the watch is preserved in very good original overall condition.
